Things to keep in mind.
Requester:
* Shit Sandwich - a way to hide negative feedback between two pieces of positive "bread". "I really like the pose on this, but the colours are a bit off. You have a great technique!"
Things to keep in mind.
Requester:
- You are requesting someone provide feedback on your work. This is criticism. Feedback is designed to help you improve and in this case is not for empty flattery.
- Make sure to specify if there is only a section of your work you require feedback on.
- Make sure to specify how critical you would like people to be.
- If you have followed advice and require more input then update the existing topic. Do not create a new one.
- Provide feedback on only the items the Requester has asked.
- Constructive criticism is designed to help the Requester improve. It's not just about what you say but how you say it.
- What needs improving, why does it need improving, how can it be improved.
- Avoid "shit sandwiches" * . They can come accross as patronising and they are not helpful.
